OMMA Instructors and instructor candidates studying.
Come train to join a long line of Kempo Instructors and be a part of a new line of Christian Kempo leaders. OMMA Instructor Academy includes:
* Advanced Martial Arts Instruction
* Instruction on how to teach Martial Arts
* Training in how to operate an OMMA Dojo
* Bible-based Leadership training
* Ministry Skills training
* Special expert guests
* Certification in 8 OMMA Instructor Levels (see below)
* Possible long-term Martial Arts Ministry career
This program is by invitation only. Let your OMMA Instructor know if you have an interest in being a part of this Advanced program.
OMMA Instructor Ranks
We have eight levels of Instructor Rank in the OMMA system.
Junior Leader – Student in Young Warrior Program, age 10+, minimum rank of Blue Belt, completed Level One Instructor Training. (May wear the “Junior Leader” patch)
Junior Instructor – Student in Young Warrior Program, age 11+, minimum rank of Camo Belt, completed Level One & Two Instructor Training. (May wear the “Junior Instructor” patch)
Instructor Trainee – Adult Student, minimum rank of Blue Belt, completed Level One Instructor Training. (May wear the “Instructor Trainee” patch)
Assistant Instructor – Adult Student, minimum rank of Brown Belt, completed Level One & Two Instructor Training. (May wear the “Assistant Instructor” patch and may wear the BLUE UNIFORM)
Full Instructor – Adult, age 18+, minimum rank of Black Belt, completed Level One – Level Three Instructor Training. (May wear the “Instructor” patch and may MIX uniforms of the three colors)
Chief Instructor – Adult, age 21+, minimum rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt, completed Level One – Level Four Instructor Training. Has given direction to at least 2 Assistant Instructors for a minimum of one year. (May wear the “Chief Instructor” patch and may wear uniforms with stripes of the three colors – Black, White & Blue.)
Senior Instructor – Adult, age 25+, minimum rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt, completed Level One – Level Five Instructor Training. Has given direction to at least 2 Full Instructors for a minimum of one year. (May wear the “Senior Instructor” patch and may wear the RED UNIFORM, mix all uniforms and wear uniforms with stripes of the four colors, including Red.)
Master Instructor – Adult, age 30+, minimum rank of 5th Degree Black Belt, completed Level One – Level Five Instructor Training. Has given direction to at least 5 Chief Instructors for a minimum of three years.
