are needed for OMMA’s
FALL 2024 GROUP SERVICE PROJECT
Packing Christmas Gift Boxes
for Operation Christmas Child

Our goal is to pack over 300 Christmas Gift Boxes!

Location: Avalon Church

13460 Tanja King Blvd, Orlando, FL 32828

Date: November 23, 2024  |   Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Come when you can, stay as long as you like, all ages welcome!

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CHRISTMAS SEASON BY SERVING TOGETHER TO HELP CHILDREN
AROUND THE WORLD FEEL LOVED.

We are anticipating with excitement gathering with many of you for a time to serve together at OMMA’s next Group Service Project!

For those who are newer to OMMA (and as a reminder to our veterans), twice each year we sponsor Group Outreach Projects where we “Take it out of the Dojo” and gather together to serve others in various ways. We have been doing this at least twice a year since 2008. These are “hands-on” projects designed for all ages. We have folks from toddlers to grandparents and everyone in between who link arms and hearts to make an eternal difference in the lives of people near and far.

In the fall we collect items to pack Samaritan Purse Christmas boxes.  In the spring we have partnered over the years with Word on the Street Homeless Ministry to serve our marginalized and homeless community in Orlando by packing Snack Bags/Bags of Blessings.  You might hear about other smaller service projects announced throughout the year as we strive to instill in our students a heart for service.

Our next Group Service Project will be to pack Christmas Gift Boxes in support of Operation Christmas Child.

For our newer students who haven’t done this with us yet, we ask for donations of new gift items (click the button below for details) and then on our project day, we unpack and organize what was donated and distribute them to as many shoeboxes as we can.

If you are willing and able to contribute any of the items listed on the Christmas Gift Box page, that would be great! Please let me know what you might have in mind so I can get an idea of where we stand. You can bring these items to any of our classes and we’ll store them at the Dojo until the day of the event.       THANK YOU!!!

You can also complete your own Gift Boxes and bring them to the dojo prior to the event.
