Our goal is to collect enough items to pack 1500 Snack Bags!
2822 S. Alafaya Trail, #170, Orlando, FL 32828
We believe God has called us to bless and serve others and we want to give our OMMA community an opportunity to do just that.
For those who are newer to OMMA (and as a reminder to our veterans), twice each year we sponsor Group Outreach Projects where we “Take it out of the Dojo” and gather together to serve others in various ways. We have been doing this at least twice a year since 2008. These are “hands-on” projects designed for all ages. We have folks from toddlers to grandparents and everyone in between who link arms and hearts to make an eternal difference in the lives of people near and far.
In the fall we collect items to pack Samaritan Purse Christmas boxes. In the spring we have partnered over the years with Word on the Street Homeless Ministry to serve our marginalized and homeless community in Orlando by packing Snack Bags/Bags of Blessings. You might hear about other smaller service projects announced throughout the year as we strive to instill in our students a heart for service.
Currently, we are collecting items NOW so that we can serve together as a community to pack 1000 Bags of Blessings.
If you are willing and able to contribute any of the items listed on the Bags of Blessings page (click the button below) that would be great! You can bring these items to any of our classes and we’ll store them at the Dojo until the day of the event. We also accept monetary donations where 100% will go towards this project. (Click Project Donation button below)
Our Group Service Project will be to pack 1000 Snack Bags in support of Word on the Street Homeless Ministry.
We are anticipating with excitement gathering with many of you for a time to serve together at OMMA’s next Group Service Project! We ask for specific items to be donated from early spring until the day of the project. (click the button below for details) Then on the day of our project, we will pack as many BAGS OF BLESSINGS as we can.
You can also complete your own Snack Bags (please only include the items on the list) and bring them to the dojo prior to the event.
THANK YOU!!
