z500-100-500 Project – May 2015
We will be seeking to prepare 500+ snack packages for our local homeless community in support of Word on the Street ministry as well as 500+ hygiene kits for the people of Haiti that will be delivered via a summer mission trip through Catalyst Coach ministry.
If you feel led to supply any of the items below to help fill care packages for our area homeless men, women and children, or items for the hygiene kits for Haiti, please bring them to OMMA or leave them at the Avalon Church office. We hope to collect enough items for at least 500 of each.
Snack Bag Items needed: Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers (Austin or Lance brands, for example), Small Applesauce/Fruit cups, Nutrigrain Bars/Energy/Breakfast Bars, Small Beenie-Weenies (pop-top), Small Vienna Sausages (pop-top), Beef or chicken ramen noodles cups (Styrofoam cups – not the sleeve kind) , Very small water bottles (6-8 oz.), Small boxed Gatorade drinks (6-8 oz.), Gallon sized Ziploc bags
PLEASE, NO CHOCOLATE, GUMMY CANDIES or other items that can melt or are too hard (peanuts).
Hygiene Kit Items needed: Bars of soap, Washcloths, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, 4 ounce bottles of shampoo, Gallon Sized Ziploc bags, Quart sized Ziploc bags.
Cash Donation : If you’d like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the project, we will allocate 100% of your donation to items needed for the snack packs and gift bags.
