I am SO excited about all of the opportunities to serve the Lord is putting before us at OMMA.  Each year we do at least two SERVICE PROJECTS for our students and the community to participate in giving and helping others.  We believe service is an important trait for our students to learn and we enjoy giving them a chance to use their hands and time to make a difference in someone else’s life.

MOBILIZATION – To encourage others to take action; to serve

May Service Project:
We primarily focus on partnering with Word on the Street Ministry preparing Snack Bags for their Homeless Ministry.  Our OMMA Community has packed over 7,500 snack bags for our Homeless in East Orlando over the years.  Each bag helps to mobilize this ministry to reach the marginalized for Christ.

Fall Service Project:
We have been collecting items and packing Samaritan Purse’s Christmas Shoeboxes for over 10 years.  This project is so much more than packing gifts for kids around the world.  It is about mobilizing our OMMA community: coming together, serving together and giving our time and money to serve others.  It is teaching our students a practical way to love others.  This year we completed 466 boxes with the help of our whole OMMA community.  That was over 100 boxes from our record high last year of 324.  Even with all that our world is facing, our OMMA community was very generous with both their time and money.  THANK YOU!  Our 2021 GOAL is 500

Other projects we have done over the past 10 years:
Pocket Flags for troops on the Front Lines, Pastor Appreciation bags of love, Voice of the Martyrs: Letters to the persecuted church and parachutes of “Good News”, Flood Buckets for Ministry to North America serving hurricane and flood victims, help clean up the dojos…

Mexico Mission Trip:
We would love to take some students on a mission trip to Mexico and work with the Prussia’s in their Martial Arts Ministry.  For more info about their ministry and partnering with them click here: https://onmissionmartialarts.com/changed_lives/
